Crying Wolf

I was very excited to read this box set of the Black River Pack by Rochelle Paige as I'm a paranormal romance fan. I was not disappointed in these books and loved how Rochelle flowed from one book to another in meeting the Tate brothers.

Book 1 - Crying Wolf 

This book is devoted to the eldest - Hunter, who is the Alpha of his pack and Grace, a clever, smart woman who has run away from an abusive situation. 

Grace is hiding from her ex-boyfriend (cop) and finally decides to stay at Wolf's Point to start a new life. Grace applies for a job at the local bar joint and must be approved by the owner (Hunter). Immediately Hunter knows he has found his mate, but must take it slow as he senses danger surrounding Grace. 

The story takes you on Grace's and Hunter passionate discovery of love between the two. Danger and self revelations occur between Hunter and Grace to bring them closer. 

Also, I was introduced to the other Tate brothers (Spencer and Parker) and how important the secondary characters would be in the next two books.

Book 2 - Shoot For The Moon

This book is devoted to Spencer and the discovery of his mate Eliza, which he been involved with for over year, but didn't know she was his fated mate. 

Since both Spencer and Eliza are strong characters, I enjoyed the reading both of their sides of the story. Eliza is a dream walker and must deal with the dreams which cast doubt on her relationship with Spencer, so she unwilling to commit, while Spencer reaches out to Hunter and Grace for help.

A rocky road, but love and trust wins out for both of them. Rochelle writes a compelling story that shows with a little help for family, things can work out. 

Book 3- Thrown To The Wolves

In this story, Parker, the youngest Tate brother meets his mate, Annora. Annora is running away from her family as she is a bear shifter and not a wolf shifter. Her so called father wants to trade her to another shifter to pay his debts. Parker is the protector and will protect Annora through hell and back in order to mate her. Both of them feel the pull, but danger is near as the wolf shifter that was supposed mate Annora is near and must be deal with.

I enjoyed Rochelle's writing style of through the eyes of each characters POV. I look forward to reading more from Rochelle. 

I highly recommend this book set to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance full of hot sexy passionate scenes for the over 18+ year old readers.

Just as I was taking in a sweeping gaze of the most magnificent Christmas party I’d ever attended, someone snuck up behind me and whispered in my ear, “You are such a little bitch, Dahlia.”

“Veronica,” I huffed, annoyed.

I tried to spin around to confront my verbal assailant—who also happened to be my best friend and cousin who delighted in driving me crazy—but before I could get my bearings, Veronica’s delicate, slender fingers slid over my eyes.

Everything went black, but the smells and sounds of the holidays were still all around me. Eggnog and cinnamon scents punctuated the air, and the comforting lull of classic holiday tunes filled my ears. But with my sight obscured as it was, there would be no more gazing at the yards and yards of multi-colored, twinkling lights draped from the raw wood beam rafters above me, and no more admiring the sparkling, decorated fifteen-foot fir in the far corner of the large banquet hall the party was being held in.

Prior to Veronica’s interruption, I’d been mesmerized by the tree with its shiny glass ornaments and bright lights adorning the branches. I found it amazing how the holiday glow made all the beautiful party guests look even more dazzling. Glamorous and sophisticated, all dressed in their holiday party finest and milling around, drinking too much champagne, having too much fun. But the glitz and glamour were momentarily hidden from me, thanks to Veronica’s hand over my eyes.

“Are you done,” I inquired. I made my tone sound miffed, but I wasn’t, not really.

“No, and don’t look now,” she replied from behind me, hand still in place.

“As if I could,” I interjected as I shifted from one way-too-high stiletto heel to the other. “So, why am I a bitch?” I continued. “And why in God’s name are you still covering my eyes?” 

“First, you’re not really a bitch,” Veronica replied apologetically. “And secondly, the answer to your other question, my dear, just walked in the door.”

Aha! Her answer, not to mention her tone, meant one thing and one thing only—he was here.

S.R. GREY INTERVIEW:

1)     What is your writing process? Do you listen to music or do you like silence?

I usually write in silence. Sometimes I will have the TV on low in the background, but not often. Music influences many of my stories, but it’s usually inspiration found while listening to songs when driving or running.

2)      Do you outline your story or just go where your muse takes you?

It depends. I generally like to draft a rough outline, with just a couple of notes here and there regarding chapters and the order of things. But I always end up changing it up, making adjustments. And sometimes I just go with an idea in my head and run with it.

3)      Besides Amazon, are there any other sites where your books are for sale?

Yes. Most of my novels are also available on Barnes & Noble, ITunes, Kobo, and the Ever After Romance App.

4)      What kinds of marketing [twitter, Facebook, blog, forums] are you involved with for promoting your book(s)?

I love social media! I am very active on Facebook, hosting Release Event parties and doing lots of takeovers. I also am active on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.

5)      Do you find it difficult to juggle your time between marketing your current book and writing your next book?

Sometimes it is quite hard to juggle the two. Finding the right balance is important. I set aside writing time and marketing time.

6)      Some fun facts about you, which do you prefer – dogs or cats? Chocolate or vanilla? Coffee or Tea? Talk or Text? Day or Night?

Ooh, I love these. Cats, chocolate, tea, text, and night!

7)      Besides writing, do you have any other passions?

I do. I love to travel, and my goal is to see all 50 states. I’m up to 47, so I’m getting close.

I've also traveled to a number of other countries.
