Coll MacKenzie has returned home to Carron Castle after gathering more warriors to protect his clan. He left as Fiona was marrying Matthew (widower) and he was engaged to Kyla. However, things have changed within the 16 months that has passed as Matthew passed away and Kyla married her soul mate, Duncan, who is Coll's twin brother.
Coll now has been arranged marriage contact to Elizabeth MacRaes to strengthen the clan lands as he doesn't know that Matthew died leaving Fiona free. Fiona knows she is Coll's soul mate and now she must make him realize it.
Coll doesn't know Fiona is within the castle and starts fantasying making love to her. Fiona is right next door as she hears moans and decides to check it out. This is the beginning of a very passionate dream so Coll thinks, but Fiona knows differently.
Since Coll refuses to acknowledge the soul bond, Fiona must make him chase her. Does Coll catch up with her and gives into the passionate that has ignited between them? What about Elizabeth and his arranged marriage contract?
I love how Joanne weaves a story of love and passion with the element of danger. This is a must read and I highly recommend it.
